On That Hour Of Darkness

Unaccompanied I wander on that forlorn hour of darkness
Basking in the contentment of allowing my heart to repent
For no one else but me knows that
within this conniver exists the truthfulness
The awe-inspiring conflagration of once sheltered passion
A flame, a spark that beseeches to splutter and blossom
But Oh! Faces denial as the downpour of shadows disintegrate
The luminous star that shines before
disappears behind that hour of darkness

THE BLIND BOY

O Say what is that thing call'd Light,
Which I must ne'er enjoy;
What are the blessings of the sight,
O tell your poor blind boy!
You talk of wondrous things you see,
You say the sun shines bright;
I feel him warm, but how can he
Or make it day or night?
My day or night myself I make
Whene'er I sleep or play;
And could I ever keep awake
With me 'twere always day.
With heavy sighs I often hear
You mourn my hapless woe;
But sure with patience I can bear
A loss I ne'er can know.
Then let not what I cannot have
My cheer of mind destroy:
What thus I sing, I am a king,
Although a poor blind boy.

Found this poetry while going through a very old volume of THE GOLDEN TREASURY. Who else could set up a better example of self motivation then the poet himself? :) This is just beautiful and I hope that whoever goes through this shares my sentiments on this.
